I have seen this movie a 1000+times know it word for word. When I first heard the name Julian,I said If I ever have a son, that's his name. Yes my son is named Julian. This is on my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Way ahead of its time!!!

It is quite literally one of the greatest soundtracks in film history. Im fortunate to have scored a Limited Edition CD of it.

A typical Barry: Boring and uninspired doodling of very simplistic melodic scemes. Yes, it sounds nice, but like his utterly overrated Out of Africa there is hardly any musical subtance. Dances with Wolves on the other hand as well as Blackhole are great scores in their own right.

I was crushing hard on Jami Gertz as a little bit younger guy after seeing this in an actual movie theatre. This movie is one of reasons I went to live and work in California. Underrated movie.....needs more love....

James Horner, is proof that you can only do one thing in life: let the best shine through. This piece is so richly embellished, that if the orchestra were shown, one might pass-out !!! ✨🙏✨

Incredible. By far Howard's greatest concert work as far as I'm concerned. I loved his violin concerto and I Would Plant a Tree (as well as the Sextet) but this is a serious step up from those works, because I felt all of those pieces still had trappings of generic filmmusic-esque composition styles, which this piece does not.
